Syria: The war of constructing identities in the digital space and the power of discursive practices

London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) — Conflict research program.

Here is the first part of a research work with The London School of Economics and Political Science — LSE — Conflict research program. The research is concerned with #Syrian-s identity construction and identity politics in the digital space/social network Facebook. Here is an analysis to the discourses of ordinary citizens and institutional messages between 2011–2018. Big data approach.

A bit longer than the standard research papers, so just skim if you do not have time.

I will be happy to receive some critic/reflections on the work.

My thanks are addressed in the acknowledgement page of the paper.
